Paddling the length of the Mississippi River. Current record is something like 18 days, 4 hours.
I know this because a four-person team came through my hometown earlier this summer in an attempt to break it.
They failed — and even if they had made it, I question whether it should have been allowed as there were four of them. The 18-day record was set by a two-man team.

I'd like to see how they determined this — the testing and verification protocol. Any links or anything? And I'd like to know who the poor bugger was that was the test subject/object of the exercise, and the condition he/she was in at the end of the 19 days. I'll bet that this person was the closest we have ever come — or *WILL* ever come — to an actual, real specimen of a zombie.

Pssst. Bill. These are silly questions. I don't make 'em up. It's from a radio station I listen to in Denver. No looking up the answers, tho..
BUT - a simple Google search shows where they probably got their info. http://www.abc.net.au/science/sleep/facts.htm
