6/27 - Dierks Bentley
7/11 - Darius Rucker
Open GW dates are 6/6 and 7/18 or 7/25. I mean there is August. And don't any of you New Englanders complain about how hot it will be. Have you been to the Lube in August when it's 104 in the shade? Anyway my guess is July 18....unless there's a spot at Fenway....but I don't want to open that can of worms!

He used to do a lot of shows in late August leading up to labor Day and in 2006 he did August 10/12.

And maybe it won't be a Saturday show.

I think it was only July last year because a negotiation for Fenway fell apart - just my guess - I'm thinking he's looking at another venue. Fenway or God forbid, Gillette. Foo Fighters are July 18 & 19 at Fenway so that's not it.

Taylor Swift is playing Gillette on July 24 and 25. I don't think he'll play that weekend.

nobody yet , I don't see him coming early June , especially if he is in Houston the week before , I'd figure he would stay in the south somewhere. But again , we didn't expect July last year. I'm out if it's the 6th...Golf tournament/Fundraiser for 2 friend who died from cancer.

Oh..........you're booked for 6/6. You let Jimmy know.....right? [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif] I think I'll keep my reservations for that date for now.

I did!!....but me being booked for the 6th had nothing to do with it , I think raising money for 2 friends who passed from cancer at a early age 37 and 48 is more important to me , I can see him in another town or city..

Just announced Billy Joel playing at Fenway Thursday, July 16. The Red Sox don't play at Fenway between July 13-23. With the ballpark configured for a concert Buffett could easily play at Fenway after Billy Joel on Saturday, July 18.

July 18 is a little unlikely as Mac is playing a festival in Illinois on July 19. Not impossible but tight. Unless Mac isn't... Nope, won't say the unthinkable...

Billy Joel is on my list, I wonder if I should keep waiting for a better venue or just go with this?

Billy Joel 2 years in a row at Fenway. I know people that went last year , they said he was great. Foo Fighters I knew about, I have family members going to the shows.

How hideous were the ticket prices for Billy Joel? Hotel rooms are crazy in the summer in Boston.

not sure , her Nephew worked for the Red Sox and gave her the tickets last year , Boston Hotels rates are always high , I find the Park Plaza can be the cheapest. My sister always does priceline, and always has success , me, I want to choose where I stay.

Boston has one of the highest hotel rates in the country year round but it is even more in the summer.

Park Plaza was over 300.00 for the Billy Joel date. Use priceline and you may find deals.

Here is a place I've stayed at.....209.00 for same night it's near Faneuil Hall

The Colonnade is the obvious choice, awesome rooftop pool scene. Rooms are brutal through, $350-ish/night.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
