Well, I truly think it is hyped up deal for the masses, not the die-hard fans.
It will be announcing his plans to have Margaritavilles on NCL. I had read an article in a Floirda newspaper that the rest. will be part of the regular dining program with no additional charge.

That's been common knowledge for a while. Unless they are just going to try to make a bigger splash with it.

If it something with Norwegian Cruise Line, then they are likely paying him a "boatload" (pun intended) to do it. I cannot imagine Jimmy wanting to be stuck on a cruise ship with a bunch of us. He may appreciate us, but he also clearly values his privacy. So I cannot think of anything he would do on a cruise ship that is for "us" unless his bank account goes up, substantially.

That is what being a shameless entertainer is all about.

I hate to be cynical again, but if it's "for" us, it's probably going to "cost" us. And more than just a little.

I think he saw his shadow and it's six more weeks of teasing us!!!

Just submitted what I believe to be the perfect balance of standards and songs that dont get played. Plus my 2 write in songs were "Turning Around" and "Here We Are"

then I looked at the standings............ People are voting for every song he plays all the TIME!!!!!

Right now its a setlist from 2011-2014. Hell the song I hate the most Gypsies made it on!!!! Sure hope some real diehards start overtaking the "Facebook" part time fans and get some of those songs the hell off of the top list

Don't get me wrong, I think this is going to finally happen. The site, contest, and established rules tells me it's legit. I already sent in my list (No Plane on Sunday all the way). It's just ironic that after all the hints that this would happen in the past that it might finally come to be on April Fools Day.

I love it! I think it was well worth the hype, and give serious props to marningritaguy for guessing it! I think he should win just for that!

By first hour voting, it goes to show that Jimmy really DOES play songs that most fans actually want to hear. Astonishing really, but it's not all about us (the ones who want to hear much deeper cuts that are never played), and apparently the majority in attendance prefer songs they know by heart.

One of the playlists I have in my iTunes library is pairs of studio and live versions of Buffett songs. To make it easy to tell which live versions were played at shows I attended, I put an asterisk after the song title. I just checked the setlist I submitted for the contest against that playlist. Ten of the 27 songs on my list, including my 2 bonus choices, are songs I've never heard him play live. Of the 17 that I have heard him do live, only 4 of those have been played in the last 5 years.

I only choose 3 that are concert standards , Margaritaville ( It's the Anthem) , Fins and Changes (Because I like the songs , and really don't get tired of them). Some have been played at shows the last 10 years , but , not songs you hear every night.....the one I wanted list as a bonus , I couldn't think of the name....it's the one he shot the video . and I don't think it's on a album

The problem with the set list is most people will pick the greatest hits. It's not that people are voting for other songs, the problem is the other songs are really splitting up the votes. The greatest hits have an unfair advantage
