Damn I hope that's not the weekend...although it probably is. He seems to come that weekend all the time and I am always out of town that weekend. Grrrrr. On the positive sign I guess that will call for a road trip!

Looking at the Detroit Tigers schedule, that date makes the most sense. They are on a road trip the entire next week. They won't be home again until Aug 4.

If there's one thing I know, it's that someone with one post on BN probably has more inside information than I do.

Aaron I wasn't saying anything about your info. Just a general observation as most people have usernames that are out there not their names.

Like I said welcome to b.n.

Hmmmm nothing yet for Detroit or good backup cities like Indy, Pittsburgh or Cleveland. Is he just going to do Cincinnati and Chicago in the northern Midwest this summer? Doesn't seem possible he won't add some more dates!

Last year, Jimmy had the whole month of July empty, but then the Detroit show was announced for the rumored date.

I'm thinking it will happen again, and as someone else here has stated, Comerica Park is open on Saturday, July 25, which is on or about the same weekend that the last 3 years' CoPa shows occurred (7/28/12, 7/20/13, 7/26/14).

Only thing left is the Opening Act - '12 was Lionel Richie, '13 was Jackson Browne, '14 was John Fogerty. Not going to happen because they are big in their own right (and on their own mega-tours), but ZBB and Kenny Chesney would have fit in nicely.

Huey Lewis is open for the 25th before heading to Cali the 30th. Huey has been a staple in Michigan for years & with nothing currently on the docket makes perfect sense for a double bill with Jimmy. If Jimmy does the COPA there is no question about the opener!

Everyone needs to relax. Expect an announcement within 3-4 weeks. Last year the show was announced on April 17 and tickets went on sale April 26. The contract is singed but there are a few things that need to be taken care of before they can announce.

Thanks coach! Just what I was thinking. Not going to start panicking until mid-late Apr. Keep us updated.

Buffett show moving to west riverfront park,?

Today the creep ran an article about Olympia entertainments newest venue. It really isn't a venue....its west riverfront park just north of the bridge and south of Joe Louis arena. (Which could be demoed for a permanent outdoor theatre on the waterfront when the new hockey arena is built .

They are hosting some already announced concerts for the this summer and they have moved the Mo Pop festival and the Downtown hoedown to this place. The stages will be built for every show. Nothing is left up.

The interesting thing is that Olympia said that they have a upcoming concert to announce that includes a major act that normally plays theatres.........and stadiums.

Buffett has to considered as a possibility. Coach has told us that the contract is signed with Olympia but no official word on the venue.

Zac brown, the rolling stones and one other act I can't remember will all be playing comerica . add in buffett and that's four shows in one season. I don't think comerica has ever done that.

While jimmy probably is headed back to the tiger den it would meet the demands of fans to move to a more smaller natural area to move to west riverfront and it would givenolympia the chance to test out the capabilities of this area holding a new shed to rival pine knob. And as we all know there is no love lost between the teams of Olympia and PS&e
