The city of Lake Geneva is holding its annual Venetian Fest the same weekend. It's been several years since I've been, but there's always great food, live music beer tent, carnival, waterski show, fireworks, etc.

Hi All:
We just posted the FAQs for the upcoming show here:

Please make note of the following changes to certain policies this year:

- All trailers (anything towed behind a vehicle) will not be permitted to enter the parking lots;
- Personally owned motorized vehicles such as (but not limited to) ATVs, motorbikes, and golf carts will not be permitted on the grounds;
- Remote controlled aircraft/drones are not permitted on the grounds;
- iPads and other tablets and Go-Pro style cameras will not be permitted in the theatre;
- Selfie sticks will not be permitted in the theatre;
- Electronic cigarettes are treated like normal cigarettes and cigars, and are not permitted in all reserved seating areas and all buildings are non-smoking areas.

Please tell me I'll be able to bring my cheesehead in this year? It's a tradition, but two years ago security refused it. Last year no one said a word? In 2012, Jimmy grabbed it from me and wore it during his final encore!

Okay the waiting is over, the suspense has drawn to the end...I'm making it official. The Mistress of Agave and Don Ho will be attending Alpine this year! See y'all (I've been in the Southern States too long) there...

I read that the Alpine parking lots will open at 3pm Sat 8/22 for free parking. There is an option of paying $20 per car to park earlier - if the lots are open. I'm coming from STL Mo for the concert. Just wondering if past attendees can verify when lots have opened in the past? I was at Alpine long time ago (2007) and seems that lots opened much earlier than 3pm. Hoping to tailgate all day on concert day, so really hoping 3pm is not the actual earliest tailgate start time.

Last year the lots opened around noon or so for pre-entrance. I would assume it would be similar depending on traffic backup. Can't wait to bust out the Lion Buffett jersey at Alpine.

A few years ago, we ended up partying with a fun group of Bears fans from Dixon, Illinois... I guess anything is possible at a Buffett show! lol
