I had a plethora of entertainment options for August 22nd, but it appears that I'm getting a Workin' and Playin' re-do for being over served in Chicago, with a Huey Lewis and the News bonus!

This will be Buffett show #33 for me, and my lucky 13th at Alpine! I've gone every year since 2001, except for 2012.

2008 was the year that balcony girls (Cindi) and I stumbled upon front row center tickets from the box office just before the gates opened, and I'm sure I said that since the experience would never be topped, I didn't need to go back. However, Alpine tickets almost every year since then have fallen in to my lap, and the good times still roll! This will also be my 13th Buffett show since front row!

I'm looking forward to it, and hope to see some of you there!

Not sure what my Friday will hold. The Beach Bum Band is playing in Palatine, IL.

Is anyone going to Hemingways on Friday night?

I also saw that Brendan Mayer is playing Hemingways on Saturday afternoon... nice! I know I won't make that, but would have if I could have!

I have been weighing the options, that is an easy place to get back and forth from Friday night for me.

And how! It is weird going in, knowing I won't be getting a smile and a hug from Steve. I'm guessing / hoping that they will have at least one toast to him tomorrow night, and over the weekend. Rest in peace, Steve... we will certainly be thinking about you!

Can!t believe the day is here - have a great time everyone! We did our annual bar crawl in Milwaukee last night & are getting the small RV ready now that we're borrowing. Maybe this will be the year I'll actually run across Garry! Let the fun begin!
