LIPH wrote:My plans for the weekend were supposed to include the Irish Fest at the Market Common tomorrow afternoon and the St. Patrick's Day Festival at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk tomorrow night and again Sunday afternoon. Now, according to the weather guessers, it's supposed to rain both days. I may be reduced to going to the free concert at the Boathouse tonight. One of the sponsors is a local country music station and it's being hosted by one of the DJs, who used to be a Carolina Panthers cheerleader.

I just got back from Kohl's. I had one of those cheap digital watches and it broke so I went to buy a new one. When I got to the jewelry department I saw they had watches on sale for 25% off. I picked one for $29.99, 25% off brings it down to $22.49. The cashier had a $10 off coupon, bringing the price down to $12.49. I paid with a Kohl's credit card, another 20% off. My new $29.99 watch wound up costing, tax included, $10.60.
You are quite the shopper Larry !

It's Friday the 13th.
I'm hiding in a secure facility to avoid any catastrophes.

Amazing shopping, Larry. Never pay full price at Kohls.

Plans for weekend -- go out for burgers with the kids, last dinner before we take Matt back to school. Drive to Blacksburg tomorrow, then home on Sunday. The good news is we will probably eat at Texas Roadhouse for dinner Saturday and definitely have breakfast at Cracker Barrel (biscuits!) on Sunday. Yes, I am quite the gourmet.

Blink. It will be Monday. (for me b/c of all the driving)

Intemperance Island is opened but not "open". And definitely not secure --- I'm hiding in the basement.

That tent did a nice job, Intemperance Island looks pretty dang good after the winter we've had.

It was sealed up pretty tight.
I built a wood frame around the bottom (which has now been removed).
The tarps (6 total) were attached to the hut frame at the top and that wood frame on the bottom.
I probably could've lived out there ...... well except for the whole freezing to death thing.
