Mid 70's for the next week, perfect weather on the coast. Weeds out back are about knee deep so it looks like I'll have to fire up the mower for the first time this season.

The bakery department in my local supermarket is selling pies for $3.14 today.

Looks like I won't be going to either the Irish Fest or the St. Patrick's Day Festival today, it's been raining all morning. It isn't one of those "the sky opened and there's buckets of rain falling" days but it's a steady rain and it's supposed to get worse later in the day. The forecast for tomorrow has changed, it was supposed to rain but now they're saying sunny and 68 degrees. The Irish Fest is a one day thing, maybe they'll reschedule to tomorrow. The St. Patrick's Day Festival is 2 days so I can still go to that tomorrow.

Remember when I said it wasn't one of those "the sky opened and there's buckets of rain falling" days? It is now. Maybe I'll stay home and later in the day I can put a dent in that 6 pack of Smithwick's I bought yesterday.

Kids are at their dad's this weekend, I'm up at the office trying to get some work done. It was supposed to be sunny and warm this weekend, but instead it's cloudy and windy, so not a bad day to be at work.

Went to the home and garden show last night, had fun wandering around and finding ways to spend the money we'll never have. Hot tub with LED lights and speakers, outdoor kitchen/tiki bar, koi pond with waterfall. I think we are going to get an in-ground tornado shelter put in, though. Found out it's a lot more affordable to bust up the floor of the garage and put in a tornado shelter than I had imagined.

Brownie mix on the bottom, pound cake mix on top. Drizzled with fudge and sprinkled with white chocolate chips.
