Just in case the NCAA Tournament isn't enough excitement for you, or you want something else to follow after your bracket gets busted by a "who'd have ever thought THAT would happen!!" result, here's an article that gives you

ELEVEN OTHER MARCH MADNESS TOURNAMENTS!!!
(part 1)

HOW 'BOUT THEM BLAZERS??
Almost nobody saw this one coming.  According to Yahoo sports, better than 96% of all the people who submitted brackets to their on-line contest expected Iowa to go much deeper into the tournament.  Little did they know that when they were saying "Go Cyclones" they were meaning "back to Ames".

However, as I promised the other day, here's *part 2* of "Other March Madness Tournaments" to check out.  Enjoy!!

I have one question before I try to.

What is a Bracket?

Ok so I have looked it up.

Another case of us being "separated by a common language".

We just call it a tipping comp. One difference I can see is ours are usually run for the whole season and finals - on a round by round basis. It appears that brackets seem to be just through the knockout and are a one shot thing.

Rabbitz, it's a single-elimination tournament.  Somebody far wiser (?) than me decides who gets into it, and from there on it's a case of "Win and you advance; lose and you go home".  And since people in the USA will gamble on almost anything, this is a major attraction for people who think they can g̶u̶e̶s̶s predict the results.

Ahhhhh now I get the frantic activity.

Apparently even "the leader of the free world" was struggling with his picks. You would think the CIA would have had the decency to have the fix arranged for their boss :)

I'm pretty sure my bracket blew up earlier today. I had Virginia going to the Final Four and they lost to Michigan St.
