They announced some additions to the lineup for the Carolina Country Music Festival in June. One of the acts that's been added is The Marshall Tucker Band. I have mixed feelings about this. I don't know about other parts of the country, but back in the '70s when I was in college southern rock was really popular on Long Island. Marshall Tucker may have been my second favorite band after The Allman Brothers. But 3 of the original 6 members are dead and only one of the remaining 3 is still in the band. Sure, it's the singer, but maybe they should call themselves The Doug Gray Band instead of Marshall Tucker.
