Hi Nancy.I did find a fruit lined plate that served countless meals.It is now on a plate rack in the kitchen.

NOLA was fantastic.
If you ever want to go to NOLA and need a guide, make sure Sang is with you.
We hadn't spent any time there....had one other very quick trip.
I spent Sat and Sun with Sang (Larry arrived later Sun), so Sang and I terrorized NOLA on our own.

We went to Margaritaville and ran into some BNers , wandered around the area awhile and then headed to the Howling Wolf. According to Sang it wasn't far.....remember that she walks in NY.....I don't. But we managed to walk over a mile and she didn't leave me.

Sun, we spent more time walking the streets, looking in shops and eating.
Larry got to town and found us in time for dinner and we all went to the last Dead Feat show.
We knew Fred and Paul from Little Feat but nothing about the others joining them.
O M G....what a great group of musicians!!!

btw---if you ever want to surprise JD from RM, show up when he doesn't expect you in a location you aren't suppose to be in.

I guess I'll have another beer, the Islanders lost. They won game 6 of the series Saturday but since they were eliminated from the playoffs tonight, Saturday's game was the last one they'll ever play at the Nassau Coliseum. They're moving to Brooklyn next year to play in the same arena where the Nets play basketball. The Coliseum was a dump but even though I don't live there anymore, I'll miss it. My first college graduation, Nassau Community College, was held there the year the Coliseum opened in 1972.

The first concert I ever went to at the Coliseum was Faces, when Rod Stewart was still the lead singer and Ron Wood from The Rolling Stones played guitar. It was in 1973 and the ticket cost $6.50. I saw my first Allman Brothers concert back in 1973 at the Coliseum, it was the day after my old college girlfriend dumped me. I saw Jethro Tull (twice), Yes and Emerson, Lake & Palmer there. Don't judge, it was a '70s thing. Buffett played there twice, in 1977 as the opening act for the Eagles and in 1999. I missed the '77 show and in '99 I was working in NYC and had seen him in Madison Square Garden 2 nights before the Coliseum show so I missed that one too.

I went to a lot of hockey games at the Coliseum, regular season and playoffs. In the 1975-76 season, 2 Russian teams came to the US and each played 4 games against NHL teams. I went to the game when the Islanders played the Soviet Wings, the best hockey team I've ever seen. The Islanders lost, but what a game. I still have my ticket stub - Jan. 10, 1976, 7th row off the ice and it only cost $13. Two years later, 2 Czech teams and a Russian team played a series of games against NHL teams and I saw the Islanders beat the Czech team Tesla Pardubice. A lot of memories from that place.
