The store where I usually shop has a pretty good beer selection but I went to the Pig today instead, they have more to choose from. There was one I wanted to try but they didn't have it in the make your own 6 pack section and I didn't want to buy a 6 pack of it in case it wasn't any good.tailgaitingph wrote:I thought the Orange was nasty, haven't tried Grapefruit but want to. Not that I would ever do anything like that.

How could that NOT be a good beer for you, Larry?LIPH wrote:The store where I usually shop has a pretty good beer selection but I went to the Pig today instead, they have more to choose from. They had one called Sour Bikini too but that wasn't in the make your own 6 pack section either. I might have to go back there, bite the bullet and get a 6 pack. They had several beers that sounded interesting but they were in 22 oz. bottles and a lot of them are $10.99 or more/bottle.lime rickie wrote:How could that NOT be a good beer for you, Larry?LIPH wrote:The store where I usually shop has a pretty good beer selection but I went to the Pig today instead, they have more to choose from. How did I miss this? 300 8th graders, that means there must have been MILFs on the loose.sistergoldenhair wrote:Aloha Nancy! It's 8th grade pool party day! I will probably be requiring some adult beverages after chaperoning 300 8th graders! Fun times! And what will you be up to this weekend?
Sometimes the flavors enhance the beer, sometimes they don't. I had one earlier this year, Rogue Voodoo Donut Bacon Maple Ale, that was just awful. I think some brewers, especially craft brewers, put stuff in beer just because they can. Then beer snobs can sit around and talk about their beer the way people talk about fine wine. When I drink beer I'm concerned about 2 things: 1. Is it cold?; 2. Does it taste good. To quote Metallica "nothing else matters."springparrot wrote:I'm not a beer drinker. I have consumed a few cans, but don't enjoy the taste.
That being said, why put flavors in beer? Does it help the taste?
Does it enhance or cover up the beer flavor?
