On our recent visit to Noumea, we could lie in bed at night and see the light from Amedee Light. (Il Pharé)

Evening everyone. Kevin and I are on the upper level of Calamity Cove enjoying a wonderful evening. Nice breeze. No humidity (my hair says thanks) some beers and the locusts singing their hearts out. Actually I guess it's their wings but whatever. I never did pay attention to the details of bugs and other little critters.

Hide ho Lighthousers! We saw Peter Mater with son Brendan in Erie,PA last night. The audience was well heeeled.I heard one ask another,"Are you staying on your boat?"He replied,"I came in it."The concert was at a Sheraton with dock access.A couple who donated towards the show came in black blasers. In August!I thought of Judge Smales from Caddyshack. :)

There might be but if so they aren't very tall. I know there are some fake ones but don't know of any real ones.
I saw one in the distance in Hawaii but we weren't close.

Little late to the party, but here goes:

Sheffield Island lighthouse, activated from 1868 ro 1902. Today, volunteers from the Norwalk (CT) Seaport Association maintain the lighthouse and grounds as a museum and nature preserve (part of the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge along coastal Connecticut)

Those of you in the know here will recall the times we went out there in the spring to prepare the area for the summer season. I was the one with the shovel, literally hauling sh*t from the animals/birds who normally populate the place when we humans aren't around!

I'm really really late to the party, but what the heck....
Even though it's about a 2 hour drive from Seattle to get to the ocean, we do have two light houses in the city.
The water in the background is Puget Sound.

And this one at West Point:
