I love Sleep In Saturdays I hope that those lucky enough to go to GW today have a super duper time and that "all is safe within." For the rest of us saps, I hope today is splendid!


Hot and muggy in Michigan today, which is how August should be. Might take the kids to the beach today--went to a friend's place last night. They have the COOLEST backyard ever. They got fed up with our winters years ago so one spring they fenced in their back yard, brought in truck loads of sand, and turned it into a beach. It has now evolved into a really fun tiki bar with a pool and a stage area (well, they call it a patio, but I see it as an amazing trop rock venue.) Anyway, within an hour of getting there the winds picked up and the storms came in. So, maybe today the kids and I will head to another beach to make up for it.

Jealous of our GW show attending peeps but happy for all of you to enjoy your day.

Kevin is on 3 pain meds now. Sigh. I'm sitting with him now. His therapy is at 10 and we are hoping they discharge him after that so we can be home sometime this afternoon.

glad to hear he may go home today. Getting home always makes things better. More positive vibes headed to PA for good news after therapy.

Glad to hear he may be discharged today. We came home yesterday, after 8 days it was great to sleep in my own bed last night instead of that uncomfortable chair.

What a great day to go for a stroll around Broadway At The Beach, I hope it's this nice for the Buffett show at Jones Beach Tuesday.

I hope Kevin says gets to come home, good to hear Mrs. CNF is home.

"We" are home. Kevin was discharged at 1:00. This whole new knee thing is going to take some time to get used to. Every move is like a major event. Lots of planning, measuring, moving, lifting, "discussing", note-taking, deliberating,. I think you get the idea. One thing helping to keep us sane are the texts from our friends at GW.

I just got an email from the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, I had the winning bid in an online auction for one of their "Strike Out Cancer" jerseys. The auction started about 6 weeks ago, I made the opening bid on 2nd baseman Daniel Lockhart's #7 jersey, I forgot about it and nobody else bid on it. Another one to add to my collection, that's 6.
