I got some great news at the eye Dr!
My vision is 20/20.
The macular degeneration in my left eye has stabilized and does not need treatment for now.
The macular degeneration in my right eye hasn't changed any so no treatment is needed for now.
I go back in Dec.

I take it visit to visit, but I know any time I get a good checkup, I am lucky....so very lucky.
These treatments don't work for everyone.

I take it visit to visit, but I know any time I get a good checkup, I am lucky....so very lucky.
These treatments don't work for everyone.

My dad was legally blind since I was a kid and fully blind most of his adult life. He had macular degeneration, glaucoma, and a whole host of other stuff. And he still lived on his own in his own home until he was 90 y.o.. Had an aide in a few nights a week to make dinner and stuff but that was it.

It sounds like your Dad and my Daddy had similar eye conditions.

I hope you are getting checked....macular is inherited.
I also have the beginnings of glaucoma, but so far, eye drops are keeping it under control.

My Dr said we didn't need to worry about Ryan until much later, but he will be checked when time comes, too.
