Good morning, Linda and Nancy. I don't really know of an elephant that lives near me, so I'll just hug my cat, dogs and husband instead. :D Have a great day, girls!

Good morning.

Elephants are like the NYE show in Brooklyn, I want to be as far away as I can get.

And I'll bet you appreciate the lovable old pachyderm too.
Because, you know ... It's Pachyderm Appreciation Day.
Something like that.

There were a lot of bugs at the park today and I forgot to bring my bug spray. Time to get out the benadryl cream to stop the itching.

My son and I are headed into D.C. now for the Nationals vs. Orioles game.
Simultaneously "the" Pope has just landed at Andrews Air Force Base and he is also headed into D.C. as we speak.
Roads are closed. Detours abound.

Wish me luck.

The soon to be National League East Champion NY Mets are playing the Atlanta Braves tonight. My cable system carries the Braves games. I think it's time to pop open a beer, become a couch potato and watch the game.

It just figures, right? After you move away they're doing great.

Going into the last 2-3 weeks of the season in 2007 and 2008, the Mets were in first place. They collapsed both years and didn't even make the playoffs as a wild card team. They moved from Shea Stadium to Citi Field in 2009 and were terrible until last year when they were mediocre. At least I had a good minor league team to root for down here.
