Re: Surfing in a Nor'easter Friday @ the MSC
We have at least 2 Octoberfests that I know of down here and I usually go to both of them. The first one was supposed to be tonight and tomorrow but they pushed it back 3 weeks because of the weather. The other one is next weekend. I hope the weather cooperates, that's the downtown Myrtle Beach Octoberfest at the boardwalk and it's always a good time. They close off part of Ocean Blvd., set up a stage and have live music all day. Plus beer.
Aaron Neville is playing at the Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art tomorrow night. I was thinking of going but I'm glad I didn't buy a ticket. It's an outdoor show on the grounds of a golf course. The website says it's rain or shine but in the event of a cancellation your ticket price will be considered a donation to the festival, no refunds. With all the rain we've had the last 2 days and what's forecast for the rest of the weekend, I wouldn't want to be strolling around a golf course tomorrow night.

This is the kind of dreary day that makes me wish I was at home, in my sweats, cooking and then taking a break to catch up on some DVRd shows.
Oh well, we don't always get the things for which we wish.![eye [smilie=eye.gif]](./images/smilies/eye.gif)

I am at home in my PJs and cooking up a big ole pot of chili in between conference calls.Saltx3 wrote:This is the kind of dreary day that makes me wish I was at home, in my sweats, cooking and then taking a break to catch up on some DVRd shows.

I was flipping through the channels earlier today and X Men: Days Of Future Past was on HBO. I wished Jennifer Lawrence and her blue latex body suit would show up at my front door. I'm still waiting.Saltx3 wrote:This is the kind of dreary day that makes me wish I was at home, in my sweats, cooking and then taking a break to catch up on some DVRd shows.

Re: Surfing in a Nor'easter Friday @ the MSC
I went downstairs to check my mail about 2 hours ago and my mailbox was empty. I don't know if that means I didn't get any mail or the postal person didn't deliver yet. It's raining a lot harder now than it was earlier. I guess I should grab a hat before I go downstairs to check again so my hair doesn't get all messed up.

Highway 17 is the main north/south road that goes by Barefoot Landing, where the House of Blues is. South about 16 or 17 miles, then west. Can't miss it.Saltx3 wrote:LIPH wrote:It's Saturday Oct. 10, 11am-5pm at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach.
