Good afternoon.

The rain actually stopped a little while ago. Maybe I'll take a ride, it's Hooters Girl Reunion Day from noon-4:00.

A question without notice, if I may?

Is it traditional to serve the coleslaw with a pulled pork sandwich (or roll as we would call that construction) as a side or on the roll with the meat?

Or is this a state vs state, or Ford vs Chev argument, that has no answer?

We have a sandwich from Pittsburgh that has both cole slaw and fries on it.I find it overkill.Cole slaw should be a choice, not a permanent fixture.

Enjoy the sandwich any way you ca,Rabz.

Afternoon BN 8)

Rabbitz, it is normal as far as I know. We have been served coleslaw many times with pulled pork. I think originally it was to cut some of the pork grease?

I think it's personal preference. I like mine on the meat.

Well it is the labour day long weekend here, so I thought I might cook up a storm...

A beautiful 35°C (95°F) spring day, Australia just bundled the Poms out of the Rugby World Cup, so a few beer are in order.

There will be much tropical music playing, so if that doesn't offend, then, I guess you better head on over :)

Hi LR,

She is up and about. Gets tired quickly. The pain is subsiding, so all in all, better.

Ok a further slaw question has arisen - egg mayonaise slaw or sweet slaw?

or both?

Glad to hear it. [smilie=coolup.gif]

Something creamy, tangy...offsets the fattiness of the meat. Enjoy!

OK, change of plans.

Mrs Rabz has issued a decree that we are to go out to this crockery & entertaining equipment place and purchase a "Mexican wood-fired pizza oven". (I'm not sure what is Mexican about pizza either - I suspect it is just Hecho en Mexico)

I guess I'll be doing that. Oh and building the stand and work table. Did I say 95°F?

I will earn my beer today.

Although having said that I got our summer veggie crop almost sorted out yesterday. Tom's, Zuc'c, Cuc's, Chillies, Lettuce, Herbs, all in, just a few more seeds to strike but getting close.

Would've been less work in the cattle yards :)

I drove to Hooters but I didn't go in, it was Saturday afternoon in the south during college football season. The parking lot was full so I didn't bother going in and trying to get a seat. Maybe I'll go for lunch Monday or Tuesday. The 2016 calendar is out, I have to see if the girl from the North Myrtle Beach Hooters is in it again.
