I have used Tune in app and web site for years to listen to radio margaritaville. This week, it was no longer available. Anyone know why?

I can't answer that question but I completely misread your thread title.

Might be because I was in the middle of doing the intonation on a guitar but I read that RM was out of tune on the radio! I couldn't work out just how that would happen

Same here in Florida. I emailed RM too and have not heard back. Maybe the free stream has ended. Very sad.

I thought I was just having phone trouble or wifi trouble at the gym.

Seems like it's been gone since at least since friday, the free link on the Margaritaville web site still works fine tho.

The direct URL stream still works too.

I have not been able to pick it up on Tune In as well. I did download another app on my phone called rad.io (yes, that period is there in the name) that has it and I've been using that the past week. I do like the interface on TuneIn better and will go back to it if it returns.....but this is a nice option in the meantime.

I've been totally bummed about Tune-in.

The answer, depending on who you talk to, is either that Tune In can't find a reliable RM stream (according to Tune In customer service ... um, yeah, sure) or Tune In was streaming RM illegally (according to somebody inside RM).

In poking around the TuneIn website and app, I discovered you can add a web stream manually if they don't already have it in their listings. Obviously, it's easier to set up if you have a TuneIn account, because you can do it on the website instead of battling your phone.

All you need is the stream's URL (for instance, the razorback URL above). The iOS and Android apps buffer it just the same way as if it was in TuneIn's listings.

RM can also be heard via Streema at:

Meh. I have way too much set up in TuneIn already to go through all that again.

Can you let us know how to manually enter the stream into Tunein, please? I've been messing around in settings but can't seem to find any way to enter.

Also, found out that Streema is not available for Droid users at this time.

That is what I have been using, but I have that pasted in my browser. Was wondering how I can include that stream in Tunein, as I listen through Tunein to a lot of other stations.

If you go to "My Profile" and scroll down to the bottom, you'll see a button "Add new Custom URL". Click that, then enter the Razor feed address (I couldn't get copy & paste to work, but it took just a minute to enter it manually.) Once it's playing, you can save it to your profile for future one-click listening.

Oops. I s***. Had no idea this was here.

This presumes you have an account set up on TuneIn.com. If you’ve not done that yet, sign in with your Google or Facebook ID on the app (creates your account automagically). Then go to the website on your PC’s web browser and sign in the same way.

Once you sign in you should see TuneIn’s home page, which is not your station directory. Click the drop-down next to your avatar (will be the same avatar as the account you signed in with) and select My Profile. Look for My Library and hit the EDIT button in the right margin of that column.

Scroll down to the bottom of the web page and click the Custom URL button. In the popup enter the http://radmarg.ic.llnwd.net/stream/radmarg_razorback URL and whatever name you want to give it (I very imaginatively called it “Radio Margaritaville” — yep, Mr. Creative). It should be in your General folder; you can drag it around as you wish. Once you’re happy, hit the FINISHED EDITING button.

It won’t magically find the RM logo, and it won’t let you paste in a logo, but at least it’s there.

Thank you for the link to RM. I was not happy when TuneIn stopped broadcasting the stream. When I reported the issue to TuneIn back in October they said that the broadcaster asked them to stop streaming RM. Now I have it stored in TuneIn.

Well, phooey.

The workaround no longer works.
