Good early afternoon/late morning depending on your time zone. I'm sitting on the couch watching the Jests kick some Dolphin booty over in London while the rain continues to come down by the bucketload

There's a subdivision of single family homes behind my condo. This is what 2 of the backyards look like as of about 10 minutes ago. It's still raining and it's supposed to rain pretty much all day and most of tomorrow.

Looking at those images, Since it is a new sub-division I think there are a couple of town inspectors and planners who need to be asked to make career changes. You know, find a new job where they don't get involved with any sort of decision making...
Although it strikes me, that looking at the decking areas with the BBQ grills and tables, that this would never do here in Oz. Where is the roof over the entertainment areas?
Are these people nuts, first sunny day and they will all get fried by the the sun!!! (or isn't that an issue in SC?)

Had a nice weekend. Worked on the house in Maine a bit, didn't have any of the crazy rain up there. And then made it home in time to watch the Giants hang on for the win.Rabbitz wrote:Hey LR,

Toni is feeling a bit stronger.
Looks much improved as well. I think a long weekend lounging around the house has helped.
I've got a bunch of stuff done here as well. New pizza oven is in - about to go out and get some supplies to run it up for the first time.
Two 95°+ days here - bloody magnificent.

Re: Stopping by Sunday@the MSC
Let's see if this works. If you click on the link from google maps, you'll see part of the subdivision. The area between Montague Lane and Capulet Circle is where that flooding is. In the 3 years since I moved here, I've never seen anything even close to what we've gotten this weekend. (I haven't seen Romeo or Juliet either, but I digress.) Since Thursday we've had close to a foot of rain, it's been raining all day today and if the forecast is right we could still get another 4-8 inches by tomorrow.

Re: Stopping by Sunday@the MSC
If I lived in one of those houses, I'd put a canopy of some kind over the deck area. We don't get a lot of 100 degree days, only 1 in the 3 years since I moved here, but it routinely hits the mid-high 90s with very high humidity in the summer.Rabbitz wrote:Looking at those images, Since it is a new sub-division I think there are a couple of town inspectors and planners who need to be asked to make career changes.
