Are we all ready for Thanksgiving? I'll be heading to the relatives by car on T-day. Then taking the train down on Friday. Saturday is work as usual.

Good late morning. I took my car in for service, stopped to get a haircut on the way home, now I'm just relaxing because it's been raining all morning. Maybe I'll go to Mellow Mushroom later, it's Holy City Brewing Pint Night from 4-7. Buy a pint and keep the glass.

Not sure who left the fridge door open while we were in FL, but it is COLD in TX.
OK, not cold, but did get to the mid 40's last night. Remember, we were in 90 degree temps in FL....big change.

We just realized last evening that we have not yet secured our 20 lb turkey for Thanksgiving. Guess I better stop at the grocery store on the way and snag one.

Good evening gang.I'm running out of warm fishing,so defying the weather forecast,I went.The wind churned up 2 foot whitecaps on the river.I came home and did chores.I help with play practice tonight,but first I'm starting the raffle thread.

It was raining so hard earlier I didn't even want to go downstairs to get my mail so no Holy City Brewing Pint Night at Mellow Mushroom. Maybe they'll do it again, Holy City is semi-local, they're based in Charleston.

Wind has changed in MIchigan and it is chilly enough that I may need to wear shoes next time the dog goes outside. They are saying snow over the weekend......yuck.

So, couple of nights ago Mrs Rabz & I were watching a doco about a naval battle that happened during WW1. SMS Emden was sunk by HMAS Sydney in the Cocos Keeling Islands, NW of Australia.

Now this got us thinking, we did a bit of a search and by golly, by crickey I think we've found our next OPH.

Well imagine I am in Florida, so I'd then have to fly to Washington, then two one hour hops to get there.

"A fair way away" probably sums it up.

So we will have to fly Sydney (SYD) -> Perth (PER) -> Christmas Island (XCH) -> Cocos Keeling Islands (CCK).

But then again Sydney -> Dallas -> Miami -> Key West was doable so why not?
