Good cold (for here) morning. It was 25 degrees when I woke up, it's a downright tropical 30 right now.

Coffee pot's empty, temperature is above freezing and the wind chill is above 20, I think I'll go take a walk on the beach.

Good morning, BN. Blustery cold here.

Got a warning for a headlight being out. (Thank you, Mr. Policeman, for being in a good mood and not handing out a ticket.) Just need a new bulb or fuse? Of course not. Waiting to hear from the service shop what it will take to fix a "wiring mess".

[sigh]

One of my 'just shaking my head' stories:

I was collecting sea shells and finding some different one from the Grand Lido beach. On the boardwalk, I found some smaller shells that I hadn't seen before and put some in my ziplock bag. A few days later, I looked at the bag and the 'shells' were crawling up the side of the bag....opps. They were SNAILS. I didn't know they were alive. So, I took them out of the bag and returned them where I found them. Not only is it against
the law to take live things into the US, but I'm glad I didn't find dead stinky snails when we got home.

Oooh that could've been bad...
Customs: 'oh sure, ma'am, you didn't know they were live. Please step into the back office so we can talk about this'
Glad you were able to save them!

Thanks, me too.

One of the chefs tried to give me a scotch bonnet pepper to bring home. He assured me it was OK to bring in to the US, but all the signs say no. I would have loved to brought the pepper home so Ryan could get the seeds and plant them. But all the signs said NO, so I didn't want to risk it. They have dogs at the airport that hit on suitcases with plants, drugs, etc. Didn't want to end up being that person in the back office. [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

I got a ticket for a headlight being out once. It was more than 30 years ago so things may have changed since then but the officer who gave me the ticket said if I had it fixed in the next 24 hours and came to the precinct with proof it was fixed, they would waive the ticket.
