Good morning. With all this talk of snow maybe I shouldn't mention that we've had high temperatures the last 3 days of 82, 88 and 79. There's a cold front today hough, it's only supposed to be 71.

Huey Lewis & The News at the Horry County Fair next month. I live in Horry County. The fair is going to be on the grounds of the Myrtle Beach Speedway, about 10 miles away. Too bad it's the same day the Pelicans are having Star Wars Night and that's one of the 12 games I have in my partial season ticket package.

We had our wettest Winter on record, following our driest Summer ever. One of the warmest Winters ever, too...
The talking heads on Faux News assure me that it's not Global Warming, just "changing weather patterns." :-?

The only times I've ever seen Huey was last year when he opened for Buffett in Frisco and Jones Beach. The date here is between the Buffett concerts in Raleigh and Charlotte, I think Huey is opening at both of those shows. He'll be doing some traveling - Raleigh Thursday, Myrtle Beach Friday and Charlotte Saturday.

When I went to Hooters Tuesday to get my free pint glass, I meant to try a new item they have on the menu - a stuffed burger - but I had a buffalo chicken sandwich instead. I decided to go to the Hooters in North Myrtle Beach today to try the burger. I had the Texas Torch instead of the American Beauty. It's stuffed with a mixture of cheddar and American cheese and topped with chili, fresh jalapeños and diced onions. It was good but in my opinion it would be better as just a regular cheeseburger with all the same toppings instead of a stuffed burger.

After going to the one in Myrtle Beach Tuesday, I knew the promotion they were doing was buy a pitcher of either Dos Equis, Coors Light or Miller Lite and get a limited edition Hooters pint glass free. I don't want to drink a pitcher of beer then drive home so I asked if I could buy one. My waitress Tuesday spoke to the manager and he told her to give me one of the glasses. I asked my waitress today if I could buy one and she didn't even bother asking the manager. She went behind the bar, came back and said since I had a beer I should get the glass. So now I have 2 limited edition Hooters pint glasses without having to spend $15 for a pitcher of beer. You can never have enough beer glasses.

My recommendation is GO if you like Huey's music
We have seen him a few times and loved him.
He puts on a great show :D

Hi de ho Roarin'ers! My physical today was high and low.My cholesterol was lower(with bacon 5 times a week),but the doctor found a heart murmur. I have an echocardiogram scheduled, but it's no big deal.I worry more about diabetes than my heart.

If I go to Huey's show, I'll miss Star Wars Night. I'm not a Star Wars geek but if the Pelicans are going to wear special jerseys in that game and auction them off, I want one to add to my collection of Pelicans jerseys.
