The 2016 I Don't Know Tour kicks off this week with the 5/23/16 Show in Austin Texas and that means it is time for a new set list tracker. This year's set list tracker, will be very similar to the set list tracker I created for the 2015 Workin and Playin Tour. I will use the same format for tracking set list changes this year as I did last year by presenting the set list for the first show of the tour (5/23 Austin, TX) is presented in full with set list changes for all subsequent show posted below the first show's set list.

Like last years set list tracker I will be including an alphabetical listing of all songs played with a number indicating the number times each song was played. I will also include the Number of Songs played at each show list and the Shows by total number of songs played list as I did last year. Jimmy is playing some songs that have not been heard in some time, those songs will have a notation indicating the last time the song was performed live. The notations will appear in the set list change section of the tracker. One change this is that the show notes provided for each show will not be in orange this year but rather in Dark Blue.

Like Tuesday nights Pittsburgh show, the Jones Beach show had just a two song encore with no acoustic 3rd encore song. The Coral Reefer Band was minus Trumpet player John Lovell due to the recent passing of his father, this resulted in the Jones Beach set list getting quite a few changes to include songs that did not require John Lovell. Also there was an interesting miscue during the show when Micheal Utley start Fins earlier than planned, the song was supposed to follow Floridays on the set list, instead Floridays was played after. The set list for this show contained just 24 songs but Jimmy included a few interesting set list changes including "Weather With You", "Banana Republics", and "Lovely Cruise" which was the shows final acoustic encore. This show did have the standard 3 song encore set and the songs "Gypsies in the Palace" and "Take It Easy" were performed as tributes to the late Glen Fry. This was the first show of the 2016 tour that did not include the song "Delaney Talks to Statues"

So since they are featuring 3 songs from each album at each show - we can probably figure out which city is going to get which album right? Also, IMO they should take Rancho Deluxe off the voting list since it was played!

Loving these two ideas for this tour.

Jimmy said at the Austin show that the featured albums will be featured in the order they were originally released so Dallas show get Living and Dying in 3/4 Time

Getting in my guesses for Frisco.

Come Monday is a standard, and Pencil Thin Mustache has made regular appearances through the ages, so I say we don't count them as part of the 3.

Jimmy did Livingston's Gone to Texas as the final encore a couple of years ago, so that one could make a reappearance.
With JJW in the building, there's a chance we'll hear Willis Alan Ramsey's Ballad of Spider John as a regional homage.
And I'll go with either Ringling Ringling (I love that song) or God's Own Drunk for the 3rd.
Ringling Ringling would fit well in the Peanut Butter Conspiracy slot for an uptempo song there.

The song played in 2003 was I Don't Know from the Fast Times at Ridgemont Times Soundtrack

The song I Don't Know and I Don't Care is from the album Beach House on the Moon

He has to play Livingston! My fav song. Please please!
Also, would love to hear brand new country star. This might be the only chance we ever get to hear it. Such a great song

I was at the show in Frisco when he did Livingston's Gone To Texas. Most of the people in the section where I was thought it was a new song.

Also, can someone explain to me why everybody's on the phone is an encore song?
How does he not play livingstons gone to Texas? It was the featured album!

What was the votes song last night?

And he can't count the big 10 in the 3 featured songs. That is cheating!

The vote song was Barometer Soup and he closed with Railroad Lady as nod to Jerry Jeff Walker.

Everybody's on the Phone is most likely Jimmy's comment one all the people who hold up there phones taking pictures and videos during the show

So the Chicago show will feature two songs plus an encore from Somewhere Over China? That will be massively disappointing.

Not his strongest album but still has some good tunes on it. My bet is you get somewhere over China (awesome), heard I was in town(also awesome) and midnight and I'm not famous yet

"Not his strongest" is being way too nice. Let's be perfectly honest: that album completely blows. It's even more disappointing because it is bookended by Coco Tele and Harbor.

I would happily take any of the 70s or 80s albums besides China and Hot Water. Out of the entire catalog, those two plus Don't Stop the Carnival don't need to be featured.

That is your opinion. I happen to think that both albums have some good tunes on them. Of course nothing can compare to the 70s and early 80s albums. But, then again, it is also my opinion. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]
