Our local Tilted Kilt closed in September, 2014 but I still kept entering their online college football contest. All of the prizes are free food - an order of garlic fries, Irish nachos, boneless wings, a burger and a couple of others. The closest Tilted Kilt was in Wilmington, NC, 2 hours away, and it wasn't worth it to make a 4 hour round trip to get free food. I used to wait until my annual Buffett weekend in Las Vegas to redeem my prizes at the Tilted Kilt near the Flamingo. They built a new Tilted Kilt here and it opened sometime in the last couple of weeks so now I can collect my winnings locally. Guess where I'm going this afternoon? The old one had a much better beer selection than Hooters, I hope that hasn't changed, and it's a couple of miles closer.

When I went to the Tilted Kilt in Las Vegas, there were 2 guys behind the bar. There are 2 guys behind the bar here too. There's a Kilt Girl with them, but she doesn't know jack about beer, which is a bad thing when they have 25-30 beers on tap.

I have a week off from work and I am not motivated to do a darn thing. I have one bathroom cleaned and a few loads of laundry done. I am thinking of hiring a maid because writing a check and budgeting to cover it seems like less work than cleaning my house.....

It is sunny and chilly here in Michigan. I will take the sun anytime I can get it. Cloudy days are more dreary than usual anymore.

if it's too chilly to be out in the sun I find that standing in front of a window that has sun blazing through it works in a pinch!

I realize the new Tilted Kilt has only been open for a week and maybe all the kinks haven't been ironed out yet, but they need to get their $h!t together. I was sitting at the bar and noticed one of the tap handles was from Kona Brewing in Hawaii but it was just a generic handle, no beer name other than Kona. Like most brewers, Kona makes several different beers. I asked which one they had. Nobody knew. They had a beer on the beer list called KCCO. I never heard of it so I asked what it was. Again, nobody knew. Since they just opened I'll give them a couple more chances, but if they don't get any better, the next time I drive down 21st Avenue N. I'll be stopping next door at Mellow Mushroom instead.

No man buns and kilts?

No man buns but the 2 guys behind the bar and the one bus boy I saw were wearing kilts. And except for not knowing about the beer, the service was better than in the old place.
