Good morning. Before I left home to come out here last week, I checked the weather forecast to see if there was going to be any rain. I should have checked the temperature too, it was 34 this morning.

Is Boxing Day the day when people in the gift-return line starting fighting each other?

My daughters gave me a case of beer, cigars, a beer stein, and a growler. No returns here. :pirate:

Oh, and a gift card to a place that sells pizza and fills growlers. :pirate:

Taking a break to watch some college football before I go back out to drink some more beer.

Seeing any concerts or shows while you're out there, HOG?

There aren't any shows I'm interested in seeing. Elton John is playing at Caesars and I'm not a huge fan but I wouldn't mind seeing him. Unfortunately, his first show is tomorrow night and that's when I'm coming home. If airfare was cheaper, I'd think about coming back the end of next month to see Willie Nelson.

Too bad you didn't get a chance to check out EJ. Whether or not the asking price tag in Vegas would have warranted the performance is for debate, but I had seen him 3 years ago. Was quite impressed with A) his band, 2) how professional & legitimately warm & thoughtful he seemed onstage. After each song he seemed to connect with the crowd & thank them. Seemed appreciative of you being there. Far from just mailing in just another show in just another town.
Plus Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is damn good LP with many tunes that rock LIVE!
