I emailed my Red Sox season ticket and asked if there is any connection between the Margaritaville night promo and a Jimmy Buffett concert at Fenway in 2017. I also asked if any new concerts would be added this year at Fenway. Basically I asked the same question two different ways. Her reply is below. The take away, more probable than not a concert may or may not be added and it may or may not be Jimmy Buffett.

Although I would not make that assumption, anything is possible. At this time, I do not know if additional concerts will be announced for this summer.

I heard it from a friend who, who heard it from a friend who.... (see what I did there?) who said the REO Speedwagon/Styx show on August 19th at Great Woods was pulled for a Jimmy Buffett concert. So August 19 seems like a safe bet for Buffett at Great Woods.

I looked at Live Nation and both band websites, the August 19 date is no longer listed either. And the pre-sale was cancelled for this show as well.

You're right that REO/Styx isn't showing anymore. But that weekend doesn't work for me for Jimmy.

Well that is certainly some interesting news. And REO Speedwagon is up in Bangor at the Waterfront Pavilion the following night. Would be great if Jimmy did those two shows together again. Or Woodstock. I loved that place.

I can only remember one time in the last many years when all the tour dates were announced at once. Jimmy did a video and used Google Earth to zoom in on each venue as he announced it. Oh well. Helps pass the winter doldrums guessing when another show date might be released.

That is usually a good indicator. All the signs are aligned.
