Afternoon BNers
If I had the makings, we would have Pigs in a Blanket for dinner, but since I don't, looks like a spaghetti day

Morning BN. Haven't had those things since I was a kid. But I'm sorta craving Nathan's hotdogs.

Re: Pigs in a Blanket MONDAY @ the MSC
Here in Australia (and New Zealand) it is ANZAC Day - Commemorating landings of a combined force of Australians, New Zealanders and Britons on the Gallipoli Peninsula on April 25th 1915.
There are little cenotaphs and rolls of honour that have been erected in almost every town and many suburbs throughout Australia to commemorate those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in war. I imagine there are similar memorials throughout every country.
I was thinking about this at work yesterday - while sub-consciously listening to the many catafalque parties rehearsing and the buglers practicing. (I don't know how many times we heard the Last Post and Reveille yesterday.) Well this and the fact that I had to got through a weapons detector and bag search to get into an Australian War Memorial exhibition last week.
Around this time of year many of these monuments get a scrub and polish and are made ready for today's commemorations. With all the sabre rattling in our region at the moment there are a couple of jobs that I hope don't need to be done to these lists of brave names.
I hope the stone masons and signwriters do not need to visit these places to add names to the lists.
To those who went and never came back, we are eternally grateful. Your place on a Roll or Honour has been earned and your name seen with thanks.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
LEST WE FORGET
To those who serve; Thank You, stay safe and know we appreciate you doing the jobs you do.
To those who have served; Thank You on a job well done.
To those who work to keep the armed forces sustained and capable; Keep up the good work.
To those who see this just as a day to get on the grog; Have a good look in the mirror and wake up to yourselves.
