Good afternoon, just back from donating platelets at the Red Cross. They couldn't hit the vein in my left arm (the return flow) so they put the needle in the back of my hand instead. It was actually more comfortable that way.

I don't think the Cubs-A-Palooza Weekend was as successful as the Pelicans thought it would be, aside from losing both Friday and Saturday nights. Thursday night, which wasn't part of the promotion, attendance was 5,000 (capacity is about 6,500). Friday night, when they had the Cubs 2016 World Series Trophy at the ballpark and Hall of Famer Andre Dawson signing autographs, attendance was 3,300. Saturday night when Bill Buckner was signing autographs, attendance was 2,800. Sunday night's game was rained out so no money at the concession stands or the team store.

Every Thursday home game is Thirsty Thursday but it's only Bud, Bud Light and whatever other AB products they have.

I did some maintenance on the shop and painted T shirts. I have to let the paint dry on one side to work on the other. I have some drawing to do, but that's actually work for me. I can put that off. Painting giant sharks is more phun.
