Good late morning.

The weather guessers kept saying yesterday we would have rain but it was just hot and humid all day. Then about 10:30 last night the sky lit up with lightning and the rain just poured down. It only lasted about a 1/2 hour but what a storm. They already changed today's forecast. When I got up the forecast was for heavy rain. Now it's scattered showers. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

Hello all. Another heat wave in California, complete with wildfires. Maybe get the kayaks out later today for the maiden Summer Sierra voyage.

No thanks, I already did laundry once today. :lol:

I'm settling in to watch the All Star Futures Game on the MLB Network. Eloy Jimenez from the Pelicans is playing right field and hitting 6th for the World team. Two other guys in the starting lineup for the World team played in the Carolina League last year, one from the Cleveland Indians organization (Francisco Mejia) and one from the Boston Red Sox (Rafael Devers). I have both of their autographs. [smilie=gt-happyup.gif] The USA team has an outfielder from the Houston Astros organization, Kyle Tucker, who killed the Pelicans earlier this season before he was promoted to Double A.
