We're hosting our first "4th Wed. Night Meatball" event.

Goes something like this:

Small, informal, pasta meal where we make the pasta dish and everyone brings something.
The idea is to meet new people or get to know folks better. We capped our guests at 8 and plan to be finished by 8:30 (most of us work on Thursdays).
Plus -- there is a rule for NO CLEANING/STRESSING OUT by the host!

Just picked a tomato to have with my scrambled eggs, love summer!
It is GORGEOUS today, good day for a beach concert; British invasion band tonight. So I will be preparing the picnic -- this week we will have fried eggplant sandwiches with provolone and fresh tomatoes!

Good morning. It's supposed to rain today so I thought I'd do something productive, like laundry. Maybe I'll go to Tilted Kilt later. There's some kind of international soccer thing going on (I know nothing about soccer and don't follow the sport) and they're having another contest. So far I've won a free order of garlic fries, pub pretzels and nachos. The championship game is tonight and if my pick wins I'll get a free order of boneless wings. The top prize is an "international soccer experience in 2018." I don't know what that will be and I don't really care, you need 70 points to qualify for the drawing and the most I can get is 67. I'll settle for my free wings at 65 points.

I'm watching MLB Central on the MLB Network. They just showed a play from a minor league game last night. A guy hit a fly ball to deep right field. The right fielder was running back, the ball hit him on the coconut and went over the fence. Home run.
