Good morning Bill. We made it to the beach in record time. 3 hrs 35 mins! Won't be saying that on the return trip on Monday. Unless we're aiming for the longest travel time

Morning BN. Still sending healing vibes to those effected by Harvey.
Hooray. I have a 9 day weekend that starts with a 2 day festival in CT. Harvey will be here tomorrow afternoon with a gift of rain. I think.

Good morning.
The Beach Boogie & BBQ Festival starts tonight at 6:00 and Brews 'N The Beach at the Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine & Spirits Festival is tomorrow at 4:00. Both events are outdoors and it's supposed to rain both days. If tonight's event is rained out I won't be too disappointed because there's no admission charge, you only pay for food and drink once you get there. Tomorrow's Brews 'N The Beach is a ticketed event and I laid out my $25 back in June. I went the last 2 years and both times they had it under a big tent so unless we have some really severe thunderstorms it shouldn't be a problem. And I get to wear my Ben Franklin t-shirt.
(mine is a different design but I can't find a picture online and I'm too lazy to take a picture of it and post it here)

Sounds like fun.
I'm going to the Blues, Views & BBQ in CT. Supposed to rain Saturday afternoon into the evening. No tent. But I'll be prepared.

No big plans in Labor Day weekend plans in Limeville but nice to have the extra day off work. It already feels like fall up here, cool and breezy but still sunny.
Hoping things improve soon for the TX phlock.

Afternoon BNers
We are having a beautiful, sunny day. Hoping the sun will dry up part of the rain and give those cleaning some time to clean.
FYI....Sang and I will be attending a few Feat shows soon.

There are some dark clouds off to the west and it's been thundering for about 10-15 minutes, I should go get my mail before the rain starts.

Ahoy!
Lot's of good times coming this weekend for pholks. While boating today, I saw several canoes and kayaks loaded to the free boards going camping. They'll have a great night. Tomorrow they will get wet.

Hey All,
Have a great long weekend.
It looks like winter is loosening its grip over this way. Might even get out on the kayak tomorrow.

It hasn't rained yet but the forecast isn't very promising so I decided to pass on the Beach Boogie & BBQ Festival, I don't want to get caught outside in a thunderstorm if the weather guessers are right. I'll wait for Brews 'N The Beach tomorrow, they've had a pretty good beer selection the last 2 years. I guess I'll have to open the fridge and dig into my own collection for tonight's beers.

Probably better off staying in, what with it being so dangerous there, HOG.

The festival tonight is in a nice area. It's near a place called The Market Common, which is a retail/residential community built from scratch in the last 10 years or so on land that used to be part of the old Myrtle Beach Air Force base. It's pretty safe, I've been there lots of times, day and night, and never had any problems. Except the traffic jam trying to leave after watching the ball drop on New Year's Eve.

Have never heard or seen anything characterizing MB as dangerous.
