The last couple of times I had to go to DMV when I lived in NY it was a much more pleasant experience then back in the old days. Instead of one long line for everybody, they gave you a number based on why you were there - insurance problem, registration, driver's license, etc. Much more efficient.
Last month I transferred a car to my youngest 'keet who now lives/works in San Jose. We were in line for 3 hours before we got a number for the "transfer title" line. We then waited another 1.5 hours for an agent to conduct the 5 minute transaction!
I know the voices in my head aren't real, but sometimes they have really good ideas....
