Not Too bad.....right around 4 hours
It's not gonna be good wherever she hits. I'll follow your lead in hoping for a hard right turn!Crazy Navy Flyer wrote: ↑September 5, 2017 11:11 am Good morning BN, finishing up hurricane preps today, making evacuation plans should that be necessary. Sure wish that storm would make a hard right and head out into the Atlantic.
The last couple of times I had to go to DMV when I lived in NY it was a much more pleasant experience then back in the old days. Instead of one long line for everybody, they gave you a number based on why you were there - insurance problem, registration, driver's license, etc. Much more efficient.
You can even make an reservation for a specific time. That way you don't have to wait too long. I had to do a few things so I was there for an hour. But it's still so much better than the old days.LIPH wrote: ↑September 5, 2017 1:27 pmThe last couple of times I had to go to DMV when I lived in NY it was a much more pleasant experience then back in the old days. How was your lunch? Try any new beers?LIPH wrote: ↑September 5, 2017 10:17 am Good morning.
At the Pelicans last home game on Sept. 27, 2 local restaurants had tables set up in the concourse where you could fill out a raffle ticket (for free) to win stuff. I won a gift certificate from Sticky Fingers Ribhouse. I like BBQ and I've never been to this place so I was going to go there for lunch today. Change of plans. I got an email from The Brass Tap, 15% of all proceeds today will be donated to help out with the recovery from Hurricane Harvey. They have 60 beers on tap, it's Taco Tuesday and I can help out a little. I don't know how many locations they have but Brass Tap is a chain so they should be able to raise a few thousand dollars today. Sticky Fingers will have to wait for another day, the gift certificate is good for 120 days.
Since I can't haul it out of the water I'll take the sails and bimini off and put on extra lines. That's about all I can do.tailgaitingph wrote: ↑September 5, 2017 12:58 pmIt's not gonna be good wherever she hits. What do you do with your boat if something heads your way?
The tacos were pretty good and I had something called Blue Blaze Altbier with them, it's an amber ale. It was a tasty adult beverage. After I finished eating I had a flight of 4 beers - Swamp Cabbage Weissbier, Rusty Bull Piece Of Wit, Red Hare SPF 50/50 and Low Tide Coastal Harvest Gose. The Low Tide was my favorite, the Swamp Cabbage was good, I wouldn't go out of my way to have the other 2 again.tailgaitingph wrote: ↑September 5, 2017 4:43 pmHow was your lunch?
