E is getting a complete knee replacement tomorrow, so I'd appreciate any good thoughts for his surgery and recovery.

You got it Penny, I'll be thinking of him tomorrow. My sister had the replacement a few months ago and is much better than before the surgery.

Good luck to Ron with the surgery and here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

I just got an email from Discover saying my account "may have been compromised as part of an external data breach" and they're sending me a new card, which I should receive in 3-7 days. It says I can continue using my old card until I receive and activate my new card. Maybe it's just me, but if there's a chance my account was compromised, shouldn't they terminate my current card immediately? (I went online and checked, there are no unauthorized transactions on my account.)

I spent too much time and little carpentry skills to build a bed/platform for an air mattress that goes in the guest room. We have older family coming. An air mattress on the floor is NOT going to happen.

Both are doing great, Sarah just accepted a long term substitute teaching job through Christmas and Gianna is growing like a weed. She’s already more than half of sarahs height.

Anyone have an update on Ron's surgery? I don't do facebook so I can't get an update there.

And I'm home. He finally got into his room around 4:00. They were all proud of him cause he stood up from the old bed, took a step to the new bed. Happily I was able to put his wedding ring back on his finger. (He couldn't wear it during surgery, and I had it on a chain around my neck all day). All the nurses that were there gave us an "Awwww" and a round of "I do"!! smile emoticon:) The meds were helping some, but mostly making him sleepy. We tried to order some food (it'd been 24 hours since he last ate), and he kept falling asleep. So I got him a sandwich and a apple tart, with some apple juice. They ended up having to give him a general anesthesia, cause they couldn't get the spine delivery to work. After he ate, he got a little nauseous, but it passed. I let him sleep, and then they needed to draw blood, do a bladder scan, and the PT doc came in to assess and see what he could handle. Before they showed up, he actually did two leg lifts while in the bed. Poor thing was cold and clammy and sweating. I hope he gets some sleep, and they'll keep him medicated all night long. Thank you for the love, prayers, good thoughts, and everything else. I'm pretty tired, but will be back tomorrow. No idea if he can come home, or not.
