Good morning Penny and Debbie. It's a lay low day for me. A work out at the gym and fly tying will do it for activities. Enjoy the day, pholks.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good afternoon. I made the mistake of not doing my grocery shopping Monday or Tuesday like I usually do. The store's crowded today so I stopped at the Beer Den to have a pint. There are about a dozen people here drinking beer instead of shopping.

Grocery stores have been insane the last couple days. A Beer Den would make things much more manageable! 8)

I am hoping Meijer will be selling wine bright and early tomorrow. I have to bring wine and have no desire to fight crowds tonight.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I had to get a few things today that had nothing to do with the holiday. It was nuts. My son is the seafood manager of a King Soopers (Kroger brand) and he's exhausted. So ridiculous how sooooo many people wait till the day before and then complain that things are out.

There's only a handful of various stores in CO that sell full strength beer/wine in grocery stores. Heck, it's only been a few years since liquor stores were open on a Sunday.

It used to be that way in Michigan but the law changed maybe about 5 or so years ago? A million years ago, you had to go to the "Liquor Commission" to buy liquor. Ours was in our county seat. I remember my mom going to get whiskey--I had to stay in the car and it was a building next to the police department. Scared the crap out of me every time she went. Then we had liquor stores. Now every place seems to sell at least beer and wine.

In CT there are no beer, wine or liquor sales on Thanksgiving , Christmas and new Years. State Law.
