Good morning. I thought the airport would be crowded the Friday before Christmas so I got here early. I was the only person at the security checkpoint. Now I have an hour and 15 minutes to kill before we're supposed to start boarding.

I survived the grocery store and bottle return although it took over 2 1/2 hours to accomplish the mission. Groceries are put away, menu is set for Christmas Eve, and I am finally enjoying some breakfast.

I need to tackle the rest of the chores that were the reason I took today off from work and then maybe relax a bit.

i ran out to pick up some lunch , a 2 minute drive turned into about 15. My office is near a popular shopping plaza. The traffic was insane , in both directions.

Sitting in the Charlotte airport waiting for my connecting flight and I've added 2 beers I've never had before to my list. There will be many more in the next 5 days in Las Vegas, starting at The Yard House shortly after I check in at the hotel.

Whatcha doing in Vegas ?

I'm going to a Vegas Golden Knights hockey game tomorrow, Cirque du Soleil Love (the show with Beatles music) Sunday, then eating and drinking my way through town until Wednesday night, my return flight is at midnight. The Yard House has over 100 beers on tap, TAG Sports Bar claims to have 200 beers, Beer Haus doesn't have as extensive a selection but they have a lot of local beers and stuff from California that I can't get in Myrtle Beach, AmeriCAN Beer Bar has a decent selection, all in cans hence the spelling. I expect to add at least 30 new beers to my list before I get home. I'll have flights whenever possible so I won't get completely fit shaced.

I'm not much of a gambler, I'm going mostly to eat, drink some beers that I can't get back home and go to my first hockey game since I moved from Long Island 5 years ago. I like my money too much to give it away at the tables.

For reasons unknown my nephew in NJ is a big Golden Knights fan. I scored a team jersey and slippers for him. We're crashing with them next week on the NJ family run.
