Thank you Nancy!

You know, this may be a silly idea but if there isn't going to be a show at GW and there are enough people interested, how about our own Buffett party while streaming the actual NE concert (or another one around the same time)?

Get a centrally located hotel with a decent function room or something so the show can be projected and have or own GW Buffett concert party!

OK, I've had afew cocktails but the idea came to me so I thought I would throw it out there.

Get a room, save the ticket price and all toss in something for the TV/projection equipment and the function room.

I checked on Priceline for 8/11
Park Plaza ---- 242.00
Hotel 140 --- 206.00
Crown Plaza Boston / Newton --- 136.00 can take train in to Fenway , i did that from Framingham when JB played HofB. Newton is much closer.

The last time he played Fenway , i stayed at a BW Near Longwood Medical Center ... i think they were 242.00 or 262.00 on Price Line. I know when i stayed there in 2004 , it was less then 100.00.

Colonnade has that rooftop pool though. If I were going to consider this show I think I would rather go all in and hang there all day before the show than visit random dives around Fenway.

Maybe Jimmy will reconsider. Pretty sure this happened a few years ago, he heard our cries and did GW?

I'm excited about Fenway. In 2004 I was a senior at prep school in CT, and I didn't have permission from my parents to go to Fenway and plus I was broke at the time. One of my biggest regrets was not making it to that show. I did do VA that year. Anyway, point being is that I would like to go to Fenway for that very reason! I know it lacks the tailgate and I'm sure bars are crazy but it all just seems a bit magical for me so I like it. I hope he releases the date soon- with our newest addition to the family (our son, Sawyer James who is a little over a week old :) ) makes planning a concert a little more difficult. Gotta set up the baby sitter now! :)

Fins up!

i always thought he would do another Fenway show. And , now that Fenway seems to have more and more concerts each year. I think the rumors are True. My friend Pam ( girl in Avatar ) her nephew works for Fenway ( grounds crew). I'll have to ask her if he heard any rumbelings of JB playing there.

I see Zac Brown has been announced for Fenway on 6/14 and 6/15 , Those are Thursday and Friday nights. Could Jimmy play that Sat. 6/16? Or , would Fenway and Buffett not want to follow ZZB knowing that you get a lot of the same fan base. Would people spend the money , for a ZBB show , and a JB show? I guess if you live near Boston , it's not an issue.

There is a big crossover in fans between the two and with the cost of the ticket prices for Fenway I'd be surprised if they had Buffett play just after them on the 16th.. I am sure a show will be added for the 16th but it will prob be a completly different genre. I got the presale email this morning but no ticket prices were listed.

Scratch Aug 11th off for Fenway , Def Leppard and Journey. That could be a good thing for a GW show.

I am guessing that he is going to play on a Saturday so that would leave these dates based on Sox schedule and other concerts....

June 2 or 30th

July 7th

August 25

September 1

My guess is he is going to do a Labor Day weekend show on Sept 1 :pirate:

Nice looking out and August 25th Chesney is at Gilette. I imagine they will not book on same weekend. Half the state of MA goes to Chesney lol

June 16th is open also ( ZBB is there the 14th and 15th) . Some of those dates don't work , due to the Red Sox aren't on the road for a long period of time. Plus getting the field ready for a Monday Home game , the have July Dates for the Foo Fighters they are there July 21st and 22nd.

Just announced Billy Joel Friday Aug 10 at Fenway so that doubles up that weekend with a show already scheduled for the 11th.
