It's a longer drive to Charlotte than it is to Charleston, but if I go to either of the Carolina shows it'll be this one.

Leave Mass Thursday, hangout in Charlotte Friday, show Saturday, start heading back north Sunday and stop in DC and get a hotel for 2 nights, go to the 8pm Nationals-Mets game Sunday night, sight see in DC on Monday then drive back home Tuesday. I've seen Buffett n Charlotte twice but the last time was 9 years ago and I don't remember where I stayed. Can anyone recommend a hotel? Thanks.

Stay near Concord Mills area - only 10 min from PNC with great highway access to get in on backside venue. Probably about 15 hotels in that area because that is where Charlotte Motor Speedway is.
