Good afternoon. I took the ancestry.com DNA test 2 years ago and according to them I'm 24% Irish so I guess I can celebrate today. I just have to decide which one of the St.Patrick's Day Festivals I want to go to.

Both of my NCAA brackets are screwed. I had Virginia going to the Final Four and last night they became the first #1 seed ever to lose to a #16 seed since the tournament went to 64 teams in 1985. The #1 seeds had been 135-0.

I have no idea of any heritage so I celebrate them all.
Kevin’s grandfather was part Irish so he’s got that.

Last year I thought Irish Fest needed a new location because it was much too crowded in the small park where they had it. They moved it across the street this year where they had some more space but it was still too crowded and since they had pony rides and a petting zoo with goats for the little kids it smelled bad. I left and went to the St. Patrick's Day Festival at Broadway at the Beach but the band they had sucked donkey parts so I decided just to go to American Tap House and have a couple of beers. There are worse ways to spend a Saturday.

The first couple of years I lived here there was a St. Patrick's Day Festival by the boardwalk in downtown Myrtle Beach. There was a lot of open space, it's right at the beach and the music they had was much better. They stopped having that festival, they should bring it back.

Ahoy! I had a sunny drive through farm country to the state's largest natural lake. I went to check on a new boat. Bubba may own a fleet of boats, but I get to use my little rigs a lot more than he does.
