People around here use them, both locals and tourists/renters. No big roads in Limeville, I'm seriously considering one again.

Go for it! I can see you cruising down to the harbor on a warm summer morning with a coffee shop as a destination.lime rickie wrote: ↑March 23, 2018 6:27 pm People around here use them, both locals and tourists/renters. No big roads in Limeville, I'm seriously considering one again.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

I quit coffee for good last summer but a moped would easily work for errands and parking, especially in season.bodypainter wrote: ↑March 23, 2018 6:48 pmGo for it! Three weeks after I got it my dad wanted to try taking it to his job. He was legally blind and could not drive but for some reason thought he could manage the moped. The job was three miles away. Fifteen minutes go by - nothing. Thirty minutes go by, kitchen phone rings. Older brother comes out the door and hops in his panel pick up to go get him. My dad had crashed it into a Jersey barrier, completely mangled it (cuts and bruises for him). We had the moped repaired but it was never the same after that.LIPH wrote: ↑March 23, 2018 5:26 pm Turned out to be a pretty nice day, even if it was a little cool and breezy. I went for a walk on the boardwalk then stopped for a beer and a slice of pizza.
When I was going back to my car, I saw 2 a-holes riding mopeds on Ocean Blvd. Riding mopeds by itself isn't what made them a-holes, trying to do wheelies was. They weren't wearing helmets. Too bad they didn't fall off and hit their heads, the gene pool needs an occasional cleansing.
Not a very Buffetty day for young Lime Rickie.![]()

We did it for years. The last bunch that bought the company only paid once a month. It wasn't hard once you get used to it.
