Good morning. If there was a way to put beer on a stick I could go for that. Beer is food, isn't it?

G'morning, BN! Stick food? E would probably say corn dogs and Popsicles. I like those too, but I'll pick Caprese.

Morning pholks! My fav thing to eat on a stick is the frozen choc dipped banana that you get at the fair. Haven't had one in decades!

I haven't been to Key West in years but the last time I was there I had frozen chocolate covered Key Lime pie on a stick.

I'm too impatient to toast them to a golden brown, I just stick 'em in the fire until they're fully in flame and then blow 'em out and stick the whole charcoal covered glob in my mouth

We have a lot of undeveloped land down here and they do controlled burns to help prevent forest fires. They did one yesterday in an area about 12 or 13 miles away. They're doing another one today and either it's closer or the wind shifted because it's very hazy outside. I think I'll go for a stroll on the boardwalk, maybe the haze won't be as bad right along the beach.

I stepped outside and I could smell the smoke from the controlled burn. It was still a little hazy at the boardwalk but at least I couldn't smell the smoke at the beach. On the way home, there was one of those portable electronic traffic signs on the side of the road. It said there was an "incident" 2 miles ahead and the right lane was closed. Since it's a 2 lane road and I had more than 2 miles to go to get home, I thought it would be a good idea to take an alternate route. The alternate route took me by the local supermarket. I was planning on doing my grocery shopping tomorrow but I stopped, shopped, had a beer at the Beer Den and avoided the traffic from the "incident".

Ahoy! I fished in the fog and drzzly sprinkles for 7 hours. Good times!
JePH does an Italian meat on a stick at tailgating. I think it's goat. Dee lish!

Evening BNers

We are finally getting rain that was suppose to arrive yesterday. We need the rain so I don't mind. And we went to the store earlier between showers.


Food on a stick?
Not very adventurous, so I'll stick with corn dog.

Btw Larry, a few years ago, one of the things on a stick at the TX fair was beer on a stick.

It is also National Manatee day
