So Over This MONDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Freezing Cold Morning.

It's in the high 20's again this morning. I guess we should be happy the weather guesses are saying low 40's for the highs today.

Since 2011 Kevin & I have hosted what used to be called our "Mid-Winter Parrotfest" because it was held in mid-February. Every year since then we have moved the date closer to warmer weather because we've had folks coming from ME,NH, VA, NJ, SC, etc and they have travelled in severe snow and other obnoxious weather conditions.

This year is April 14 - the latest we've ever scheduled. And still it's not warm..... :o

We've changed the name to "Annual Parrotfest f/k/a Mid-Winter Parrotfest" I don't want to rename it to Summer-Time Parrotfest !

Morning Linda, Bill & BN.
Yup still cloudy, windy & cold here. They are calling for rain/snow showers today - SO over this winter!

Today marks the end of my weekend where I was actually off all 3 days. I have been working a lot of OT since I went back to work in Feb
to try to build up my comp time for the summer.

Happy Monday y'all!
You're only as young as you are right now. Make the best of it!

So it's your fault & not the groundhogs [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

Super sad I'm not able to make it [smilie=sad.gif] but tell Kevin to keep on practicing!

Morning yall!

It was in the 40s down here this weekend. Really cold for the Texas coast in April. Supposed to get back in the 70s today. 4 day work week for me. The off to Orlando. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
I must be wishing on someone else's star....

Good morning, it's 46 and raining.

Darius Rucker's annual charity golf tournament Monday After The Masters is today. I wonder if it'll be rained out? I've gone 3 times since I moved here but I'm not going this year. I forgot when the on sale date for tickets was and by time I tried to get one it was sold out.

The Pelicans also have a game today. I'm almost hoping they get rained out and reschedule it as a doubleheader for tomorrow, I'm going to tomorrow's game. Two for one Tuesday. The manager of the team they're playing is former major league shortstop Omar Vizquel. This year was the first time he was eligible for the Hall of Fame since he retired and he got 37% of the vote. You need 75% so building on that, there's a good chance he might get elected in the next few years. Maybe I'll go to the team store when I get to the ballpark, buy a baseball and try to get Omar to sign it.

Woke to snow this morning and its STILL snowing. Not happy about the state of the weather at all...and I know I'm not alone in my disgust with mother nature or old man winter or whomever is responsible. 😒 Concert last night was AWESOME! But this old lady is tired and wants 5:00 to hurry up!

This morning was weird. Looked out the window around 7:30 and it was sunny. 20 minutes later I couldn't see much in front of me. Then it started to snow. Now it's sunny again. At least it's interesting. LOL!!

Cleaning out the fridge today. Filled out more applications. Such excitement. :)

Afternoon BNers

I agree with Janice....this weather isn't typical for us. I put my coats and long sleeve shirts deeper in my closet Friday and dug them out to go Kemah Sat.

I'm having my free birthday lunch, and some good beer, at the Brass Tap. Some guy came in, sat at the bar and asked the bartender (a really cute girl) if a German beer they have is any good. She said it's too light for her. He mentioned another beer and she said she didn't like that either. He asked her what she did like and she said "good beer."

Ahoy! Today, I ran into 3 pholks that have gone to a JB show. At the gym I listened to diet of a body builder entering a contest next week. He has gone 5 days with NO CARBS! I told him yesterday I ate mostly crepes and pizza. There is no contest in my near future. :)

I wouldn't wish this mess on anyone and we still don't know where the leak is coming from.
