Dr. appointment this morning, trying to figure out what the heck is going on with my back. It's been awful for about 6 months, but this past week that pain is more awful times 1000...

Good morning from Eastern Iowa.
(Well, it’s a good morning if you’re NOT in Eastern Iowa- )
28 degrees, wind chill of 18. Got a bit of snow overnight- not a lot, just enough to be a pain in the a$$. It’s only on the ground, not the roadways. Still............
First time any snow at all has fallen here before Thanksgiving since 1997.
Tonight’s wind chill forecast is 5 degrees.
I think I need a Key West vacation.

So, finally got to the doc today for the ridiculous back pain I have for several years, worse in the last few months, MUCH worse in the last few weeks. Based on his exam and questions, his assessment is a ruptured L3 disc and Sciatica. Lots more tests, and MRI after the x-rays, drugs to help with pain and healing. Yep, it hurts.

I have a lot of aches and pains from all the injuries I've had from playing sports, but one thing I've never had is back pain. I hope the drugs help.
