What do you like on your taco ?

Good morning!

I like them the way my mom first made them for us in the 70's. Corn tortillas, soft fried in oil and folded in half. Hamburger, taco sauce, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, newer addition of sour cream and black olives. My record eating them against my brothers was 6. Hmmm.. might make tacos this weekend.

Slow day in Chambers 5....our 3-day criminal trial that started yesterday got to the first witness when the Defendant decided to plead guilty. Not enough advance notice for us to schedule anything else so the Judge took off today (probably exhausted from yesterday's 60th birthday celebration ).

Another dreary day. I really would like to see the sun.

I was going to put up our village yesterday but can't find the cotton snow cloth. Wonder what happened to it? So I need to go find another one. I hate the idea of fighting the crowds.

It's usually Turkey Taco Tuesday at our house. We use fresh ground turkey and then stuff them with fresh Pico de Gallo, fresh Salsa, grated Pepper Jack, Black Beans, Sour Cream, shredded lettuce, and whatever else seems like a good idea at the time. Really not tacos though.... I roll mine up in a large soft flour tortilla, and Mrs SPH does hers open-faced on a corn tortilla. More like Turkey Burrito/Tostada Tuesday. My favorite tacos by far are the Happy Hour Mahi Mahi Tacos at Tommy Bahama's Restaurant on the Kohala Coast on the Big Island. (Chased down with a Mai Tai or two of course!)

Edit: I forgot the homemade Guacamole! Can't forget the guac!

Sounds good except salsa and pico....can't eat either.

Had an early doctor appt then came home to clean house, then the appraisal for the new buyers came and did a walk through. Afterwards, we went to look at 2 more houses and neither of them were the one. We made a counter offer for the house we really want, so fingers crossed we may have good news soon.
No tacos today, we had Mexican last night. Nachos. Not sure what we will scrounge up, but it needs to be quick cause I'm hungry!

Very sad about that loss.. But it's weird to see my name there.

Well, guys after one more negotiation, our offer has been accepted! Holding our breath till we get a signed contract at noon tomorrow, but we are almost ready to breathe a sigh of relief! There will be a period of about 3 weeks that we will be homeless, but thanks to my in laws, we won't be living in a van down by the river with 2 large dogs! They are snowbirds and will be leaving for Florida just before we have to be out of our house and have generously offered to let us stay in their empty house! Not the perfect solution, but we will make it work. Thanks for the phin power!

Fingers, toes, eyes, and everything crossed!!!!! What great timing that your in laws home will be empty. It's definitely a better solution that the van!!!

Thanks SO much Bill and Penny! I will post as soon as I can tomorrow, it is my last (very busy) day at the flower shop before I am off till Christmas Eve.
