Good morning BN. All the baking is done and Anne will fuss with something today. I will be at her beck and call.

Good Morning Everybody.
Glad to say we've got a slow day today. Heading downtown for a theatrical production of "A Christmas Carol".
Kevin will be grilling some t-bones later -- thank goodness our gale force winds have moved on!

Good morning!
Crappy night of sleep for E and me. We both are trying to fight a cold type thing. Started last week, and the symptoms got better, but last night was a cough fest for the both of us. I crashed at 8:00 (meds), then was up at 10, midnight, 2, and 4. Gonna be a long day.
Maybe the bacon I'm gonna make this morning will be the cure all. And tacos for dinner.

Good morning. I guess I'm still on east coast time, there's no other reason to be up at 7:30am in Las Vegas.

Bacon makes everything better. And there's a Mexican restaurant back home with a sign outside that says "Money can't buy happiness but it can buy tacos, and that's kind of the same thing." The place just opened a few months ago and I haven't eaten there yet so I don't know if their tacos would make me happy.

You were up at 10, 2, and 4? You should have called Dr. Pepper.

About 3 PM yesterday I was working in the shed when there was an almighty crack followed by sound like sand down a chute.
The lights flickered and then 'bang' as the transformer down the road tripped.
The big ol' gum tree in the front yard dropped one of its top most boughs, about 300mm (12") in diameter. It fell onto its lower neighbour, about 400mm (15") in diameter. Both of them then fell onto the 11kV distribution lines.
A wonderful display of sparks and smoke ensued until the whole district supply tripped out.
About midnight they finally started to bring down the limbs. I have to give the guys on the chainsaws credit, it was quite a tricky job as the limbs where hung up on wires, the tree and each other, but they got them down pretty neatly.
About 1 AM they had repaired the damage and got the power back on.
The kids next door were a bit over awed when the Firies, Police arrived under lights and sirens, then AusGrid truck after truck came and went inspecting the damage.

Ya'll like to do things spectacularly!!! Sounds like a mess but glad they got everything cleaned up.

Somehow, while waiting for it to be sorted all of the neighbours ended up in our backyard with beers and nibbles until the power came back on. So not a total loss.
It has, however, resulted in the need to rush out (on Christmas Eve!) to the shops to replenish supplies for Christmas Day.
*shudder* Shopping on Christmas Eve is not much fun...
Wish me luck.

I can't stand Dr. Pepper, but if it would have helped? Sure.

Can't see your pic but in TX, DP is a tradition. I did start drinking DP long before we got to TX.

Ryan had some Graham cracker crust crumbs left over from the cheese cake.
So he added more to it, baked them and made
GRAHAM CRACKERS
I just had to laugh. He is creative.

You need to reframe the message as "Re-constructed Graham Crackers". The hipsters will go nuts for them!!!

Ditto.
Sweet dreams to all. I'm off to bed. E has tomorrow off, I do not. Used to for years. Different industry now. G'night.
