We love going to Cabo Wabo for breakfast outside on the street. Food is good and love the people watching.

Merry Christmas to you and yours too.lime rickie wrote: ↑December 25, 2018 4:55 pmMerry Christmas, Colin! Hope you and Toni had a lovely holiday.![]()
Are your storm troubles over? Also important, did Vanuatu survive their earthquake?
We have had a pretty good Christmas break so far (well, once you factor in we are usually on some tropical island somewhere and this year we are at home).
As for the storm, power is back on and little damage. A huge pile of vegetation on the footpath.
No new natural disasters for our friends in Vanuatu, except one of my friends passed away in the lead up to Christmas. Sadly none of us could get there for the funeral due to there being no seats on the planes left (as is usual at this time of year). There is the on going issue on Ambrym Island with the volcano - but the island has essentially been completely evacuated.
They get earthquakes and tremors almost every day, so it has to be a big one for it to make the news!

It was the first overtime hockey game I ever saw. Good game but the LA Kings beat the Golden Knights 4-3.lime rickie wrote: ↑December 25, 2018 4:51 pmHow was the hockey game, HOG? Will you be in Vegas much longer?
I'm here until Thursday but my flight isn't until 11:15pm so I get an extra day in Vegas without having to pay for the hotel.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

I had never been there before so I wanted to try someplace new. It's a little cool today so I stayed inside and sat at the bar. It wasn't too crowded so I was chatting with the bartender. She said she was from Bosnia, but she spoke perfect English without an accent so I said "you must have been very young when you came to the US." She said she was a year old.springparrot wrote: ↑December 25, 2018 4:57 pmWe love going to Cabo Wabo for breakfast outside on the street. Food is good and love the people watching.

Ahoy! The family is gone. The house is straightened up. Time for more brownies.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good evening, boys and girls.
Had a nice day with Mom, sister and BIL. We went out for Japanese food. Mom didn't love her tuna sushi like she used to.
She and the seaweed for the rolls didn't get along. But she loved her Miso soup and salad with ginger dressing. And she was in a good mood for most of the meal. She has no patience, and gets confused at what to eat next and when. Otherwise it was a nice couple of hours.
Just made "Christmas Dinner" for E and Cameron. Many years ago, we got snowed out from going to Mom & Dad's for Christmas DAY dinner. All I really had at home was stuff for grilled cheese and tomato soup. Hence it became "Christmas Dinner".
This leftover cold type thing and meds for my back has my taste buds goofy, and nothing tastes right, so I'll figure out something for me later.

I don't know what happened but these potatoes were a disaster... tasteless and didn't cook through. As much time as they were on the stove, they should have been done
Guess it was the potatoes.....or that is who I am blaming.
