Good morning BN> We have sun! Time to gather electric lines to the town light displays. I'll sit in the boat too.

Good Morning Bill & BN lurkers!
We've got the sunshine now as well since the fog just burned off within the last half hour.
Not going to sit in any boats.....gonna sit at my office chair for awhile.
Clients going to start squawking about "where are my W-2's" soon enough, although with this partial gov't shutdown no telling when we'll actually be able to start filing taxes. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif] Nonetheless, I'll get my part done & let the politicians figure out the rest.

Enjoy your day Gang!!

Good morning BN, sunny Saturday in the 60's. After a week of clouds and rain we finally have some decent weather.

Good morning. Another day in the 60s but no rain. I should have done laundry yesterday.

Two weeks ago HBO reran the first 7 seasons of Game Of Thrones, now they're rerunning The Sopranos. If you play the Kevin Bacon game, I'm only 1 degree from The Sopranos. In one episode, Uncle Junior is digging up his backyard and he says he's looking for the money from the Bohack heist. Bohack was a supermarket chain (went out of business around 1976-77) and I worked there when I was in college.

Morning BNers 8)

Guess it is time to put our decorations back in the boxes. Probably should have done it earlier, but I enjoy seeing the tree and village.

Hi All,

The heatwave ended quite abruptly yesterday afternoon.

When the storms arrived it went from 38°C (100°F) to 25°C (77°F) in about 15 minutes.

Right now (Sunday morning) it is 18°C (64°F).

Finally, a pleasant night's sleep was had :)

Most of our Christmas decorations are away. As in moved to the basement area so that the bar, the bar stools and a lot of the floor space is covered with them. We are stripping the tree on Tuesday evening since we’ve got friends coming on Monday night. It has held up really well and we’re amazed by how few needles have dropped after 4 weeks.

Our decorations are also put away. I left a few things....Crystal bowl with lighted snowflakes, etc on the table. That is just winter, not strictly Christmas. I love the glow at night.

We had so many needles. Swept and vacuumed and I can STILL see some. We got our tree on 12/15 so three weeks is good, I guess?

Speaking of trees and pine needles, I saw my first roadkill of 2019 the other day. Someone left a dead Christmas tree on the side of the road.

Unfortunately, not this summer.

We have a pilgrimage (of sorts) planned in the winter months, as it will be Toni's 50th.

We will stay on four islands in two different countries over 3 or 4 weeks. We will also visit a few more smaller islands, just to get some extra aelend taem (island time).

The probable itinerary is Noumea, New Caledonia (Grand Terre island) for a few days then onto Il Maitre (still in NC but a different island). The place we are staying is called l'Escapade, we will be there about 5 days. Back to Noumea for a couple of days.

Then onto Port Vila, Vanuatu (Efaté Island) for a few days. We will then hop on out to Tanna Island, Vanuatu, to climb the volcano. Probably be there five or six days. Then a few more days back in Port Vila.

While in Port Vila it is likely we will visit Hideaway Island, Le Lepa Island, Ilfra Island and Erakor Island.

So a bit of South Pacific Island Hopping to be done.

Busy day of purging and packing here in north central Ohio. 2 of the 3 daughters came and helped for several hours, heard shouts of, oh I found my yearbook, I found my cheerleading megaphone, I found a box full of my ballet videos....but plenty of stuff in donation or toss boxes! I got through our bathroom drawers and under the counter, my personal jewelry and keepsake drawer, and my bedside table....they will be back tomorrow to keep plugging away at this task!

Maybe because we had 158 days of rain here that totaled more than 5’ our tree is still alive. We hauled it in on December 8.

Good Evening those here, and those who stopped by today. :) Still at my sister's house, we leave Monday morning when we head to work..

Stopped by Mom's place today. She needed just a couple of things. Nice visit. She still goes into "Mom" mode when someone is sick. Still like those times.

Went out to dinner for some Mexican. We have the same restaurant by our place, this is their third location. I didn't eat much, but I'm SO full. And that was a couple of hours ago.

Off to bed soon for me. Have a great night :)
