Off to get a cortisone injection in my shoulder this morning.
It will hurt, it will upset my blood sugar control and it will not do anything to help the shoulder.
But the doctors are adamant that it is the next step - even though I've BTDT with the other shoulder. Once it is done then I'll (again) ask for a referral to the surgeon.
It so feels like I have to go through all of these useless doctors appointments, just so none of the peripheral medical services miss a chance to gouge money out of me.
The bathroom renovation is going slower than I would like. Delays from suppliers, mostly. We ordered the tiles months ago and they were ready to deliver, except it turns out they weren't ready...
The good news is that the big three issues that had kept us up at night didn't eventuate:
1. No asbestos;
2. Almost no water damage in the cavities; and
3. No termite damage.
(I am being thankful for small mercies here...)
Oh and if you were wondering, the heatwave marches on, at least another 6 days of 100°F (or there abouts) in the forecast. Humidity is also near 100%. 100° days that start with morning fog - at least those dreams of moving to the tropics have become closer, it's just that the tropics are moving here...
