WEDNESDAY is Here@ the MSC

Post by bodypainter »

Good morning BN. We spend all three meal times eating out today. I better pace myself.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

The bad part about that is we had 2 cold days in a row so I made a pot of chili yesterday. Now it's supposed to be 65 today and 67 tomorrow, not chili weather. Oh well, I'll eat it anyway. I need something to go with the beer in my fridge.

It’s dreary here. Tonight we host our “4th Wednesday night meatball” dinner. We skipped November and December bc those Wednesdays were too close to holidays.

Will be nice to just hang out around the table and catchup (we don’t allow phones).

The temperature is still in the 60s but it turned into a really crappy day. I went to get my mail and it's damp, overcast and windy. Feels, and looks, like it's going to rain any minute.

My mission today after work was to go to 3 different pharmacies and pick up 1 rx at each. I called the doctor's office on Monday to get Bryan's refill phoned in. It's now Wednesday. My doctor changed my blood pressure medicine dosage to combat the high potassium reading. Said they phoned it in to CVS, I told them I get that medication at Kroger (we shop around and Kroger is cheaper) No problem I was told and got a phone call this morning saying it had been phoned in to Kroger. Great! I got a text msg yesterday from CVS that a rx was ready for pick up. (I get 1 diabetic rx at CVS they have it on auto fill) 1st stop CVS, its raining so the drive thru pick up line was 6 cars back. I get to the window, she ran my card told me the amount and it was an unusual amount, so I asked what it was and it was the blood pressure medicine, she took it back and gave me a refund. Strike 1. Next stop Wal Mart for Bryan's rx, waited in line behind 12 people, get to the counter and NO rx had been phoned in for Bryan...strike 2. Next stop Kroger...waited in the rain behind 1 person at the pick up window only to be told that my insurance wouldn't pay for the new dosage rx because it was too soon to fill it. (Really? Cause CVS filled it) Pharmacist said, just cut the ones you have in half. Strike 3. Just shoot me.

(((Tammy))) Sheesh, I have Anne to work up the calls on meds.

I spent a blissful afternoon in the studio covered in sawdust, making stuff for Cabin Fever and Parrotfest. We had freezing rain, cancelling schools for the day. It turned to warm rain and fog. Perfect day to make art.

:o :o :o :-? :-? :-? OMG, Tammy!!! What a mess. But I get it. My company changed from UHC prescriptions to CVS. If in person, I have to go inside a Target. 4 of my 5 prescriptions can be by mail and a 90 day supply. 4 of them would have cost me $120 with UHC. With CVS it cost me just over $30. :o :D But one, they're fussing over. It can't be a tablet. That's not what I submitted. Then I resubmitted as a capsule, and they said the doc didn't send in the approval. And they did. So I really understand your frustration.

Long day for me. Unit Secretary was out, again. So I was at the front desk all day, again. I'm happy to help, but kinda tired of having to do that a few times every month since I started in August.

Decent sunshine today, but more wind, and more snow overnight. At least it's not supposed to be more than 1-2 inches.

Off to bed soon - back injections helped a bit, but I'm tired and will have snow to scrape off of windows. (Tho E has been amazing helping me with that most of the time in the last few months).

TTFN.

Thanks for the sympathy phriends, it is just so frustrating...our doctor won't accept requests for refills directly from a pharmacy, the patient has to call their refill line, ok but why can't you let me leave a request on the weekend or after hours since I never speak directly to a human being anyway? Nope, must call during office hours, which means Bryan has been without his med since last Saturday. 😡
